Günter Bauer accompanies students

‘It is all a question of time that upcoming designers will succeed in teaching the teachers. In my effort to stretch the moment I’ll be taught, it’s better to work with students for we can learn from each other. When I started in 1999 it was just a job fun doing. Nowadays it is not only fun but also inspiring. The last Retail design Minor was one with highlights. 24 Students had to design a store of 600m2 in Dordrecht. The ground plan rather exotic. The store type was this year chosen by themselves. From a Bridal Store for femme fatal, to an T-Shirt Store for expressive customers, to a knitwear store in which knitting techniques where used as material for furniture. A study trip to Antwerpen was also a top day during the course. Antwerpen like Berlin has a lot of independent store concepts. Off course the fashion stores are the cream of the crop.
